+ Where are you from?
+ What is your educational background?
Sophomore Communications Major at Saint Joseph's University, graduated from St. Dominic Academy
+ When you aren't at Lead U, what are you doing?
I work the sports games for the athletic department at Saint Joe's (big sports girl), I manage the Gaelic football team at SJU haha, spend a lot of time outdoors (anything from running, tanning, playing with dogs, you name it), watch documentaries about things I wanna know more about: veganism (even though I am no where close to being a vegan), government conspiracies, incarceration, or psychological experiments like the We Live in Public documentary. I spend a lot of time making content for my Communication classes: either writing articles, taking pictures, or editing videos. And I'm always listening to music, probably Post Malone or Khalid.
+ Who do you view as a leader and why?
I consider a lot of people leaders, I actually consider everyone a leader, but someone I look up to as a leader and who is the kind of leader I strive to be like is Ellen Degeneres. She leads in an unconventional way, using her humor and mixing it with kindness and compassion to reach people. She encourages acceptance and understanding of all differing opinions, ideas, and cultures. She spreads kindness while also spreading awareness about important issues, making her woke as heck. Not to mention she has a lot of guts, coming out during a time when it was not as accepted or normal. She is not afraid to be unapologetically herself and she inspires that in other people, which I believe to be the greatest thing in which a leader should inspire.
+ What's one thing you remember from Kindergarten or the early years of school?
I remember in Kindergarten we would have fire and lock down drills, but myself and this other girl Emily Anthony were extremely scared of the alarms that would go off: we would scream and cry, so our teacher, Mrs. O, one of the best teachers I've ever had, would tell our class five minutes before the drills would happen that we were about to have one and would call Emily and I up so we could hold her hand and be together during the drills. It was the first time I remember learning about compassion, obviously not knowing that is what it was at the time. And I gained a friend from it: Emily and I bonding over our fear or loud, ringing noises apparently.
+ If you could only eat three foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Chicken nuggets, avocado toast, and snow cones haha
+ If you could ask your pet one question, what would it be?
Why am I your least favorite family member? (Backstory: my dog really doesn't like me, probably because I tried to change her name from Colby to Steve when I was little).
+ If you could be a cartoon character for one week, who would it be?
I'd be Ferb from Phineas and Ferb because they get to go on really crazy adventures and Ferb is super chill and go with the flow. He doesn't have a care in the world, which I think is a quality everyone would benefit from having a little more of.
+ Who would play you in a movie of your life?
Kristen Wiig or Tina Fey because someone asked my mom if she was Tina Fey once.
+ What is your favorite family or friend tradition?
My favorite family tradition is that my whole dad's side of the family rents a massive house and heads down to Hilton Head, South Carolina for a week every summer. We spend everyday at the beach, each family has a designated night to cook their favorite dinners for everyone, and we always have one night where we celebrate my cousin Ryan's and my birthdays (because they are two weeks apart) along with my grandparent's and parent's anniversaries (because they are also very close together) It's like one big party. Although always insanely chaotic, the week is like going to summer camp, except it's guaranteed you are with people you like.
+ If you could time travel, where would you go?
I would go to back in time to when my parent's were in high school, like in Back to the Future.
+ What is your spirit animal and why?
My friends tell me they think my spirit animal is a monkey because they say I am goofy, hyper, and crazy. "You're pretty spunky." I don't know though, I'd like to be like the starfish from Aquamarine, that the girls wear on their ears as earrings, who whisper really nice things in the characters' ears and make them feel good about themselves. If you haven't seen Aquamarine then all of that probably makes no sense to you.
+ Most memorable Lead U moment
Camp is probably the most obvious answer, but yea anytime from camp when the crew had quality time to spend together in our most delirious states, that's when I got to really get to know the people I work with.
